The DISC Certified Coach program
A certification for coaches who use DISC in their practice and want their standing to be verifiable. Coaches apply, interview, train, and practise under supervision before they are listed.
What you get
- A listing in the public coach directory, with a verifiable certificate number.
- The DISC Certified Coach mark, in light and dark, for your site and profiles.
- Coach Mode: branded client reports, team decks, and an AI coaching assistant.
- Referrals from people who ask the directory to match them with a coach.
- Access to the research behind the assessment, including its limitations.
Frequently asked questions
- How long does certification take?
- It depends on your background and how quickly you complete the supervised practice. The program is built around competence, not a fixed number of weeks.
- Do I need to already be a coach?
- The program is for practising coaches, consultants, and facilitators. It deepens how you use DISC; it is not an introduction to coaching itself.
- Can I use DISC for hiring decisions once certified?
- No. Certified coaches agree not to use DISC for hiring or selection decisions, and not to claim more for the instrument than the evidence supports.
- What happens if my certification lapses?
- You come off the directory and must stop using the mark. Anyone can check current standing on the verify page, which is the official record.
- How does someone verify my certification?
- Every certified coach has a certificate number in the format DISC-YYYY-NNNN. Anyone can enter it, or your name, on the verify page to see your standing.
About DISC Profile App
The DISC Certified Coach program is for practising coaches, consultants, and facilitators who use DISC and want a credential that can be checked. It deepens how you use the instrument; it is not an introduction to coaching itself.
Certified coaches agree not to use DISC for hiring, firing, or selection decisions, and not to claim more for the instrument than the evidence supports. They present DISC as a tool for understanding communication and working style, not as a measure of ability or worth.
A coach who breaks the agreement is removed from the directory and must stop using the mark. Standing can always be checked on the verify page, which is the official record.
How it works
- Apply. Tell us about your coaching background, who you work with, and how you would handle a client who does not recognise themselves in their result.
- Interview. A conversation to understand how you coach and whether the program is a fit in both directions.
- Train. Work through the DISC methodology the platform uses, including how the scores are built and where they are uncertain.
- Practise under supervision. Run real sessions with feedback before you are listed.
- Certify. On completion you receive a certificate number, a directory listing, and the DISC Certified Coach mark.
- Renew annually. Certification is checked each year. It is possible to lose, which is what makes it worth having.
